Belated plane-falling experience

We are down.. on the ground... it was pretty amazing.. kinda like at the show rides when your heart disappears out of your head and your stomach is nowhere to be seen... only you are also very high above the ground and going so fast. It is terrifying, really... terrifying and sickening with the acceleration. So fast!! And just dropping.. like imagine dropping then multiply that by a big number. It is the ultimate in dropping feeling. Drooooopping...

and then just a big desire to be near solid ground, but also very scared about how solid the ground actually looks. It is fuzzy and fast ground, not nice and crisp and stable.

It was a beautiful blue morning. You do not get better, even in Oz. Not a single cloud. We were so lucky. But the lack of wind made the landing very fast.*
